Guidelines for Presentations

Research results will be presented in three different formats: full paper presentations, brief communications and poster presentations following a peer-review selection process by the Scientific Committee. Full papers must not be longer than 25 minutes, brief communications 10 minutes, and poster presentations will follow the schedule of poster sessions. Abstract proposals must be submitted with the assistance of the form provided. The organizers reserve the right to decide on the choice and number of papers, brief communications and posters. Successful speakers will be notified by the organizers prior to registration.

Proceedings

As with the previous Origins conferences, the proceedings for Origins.6 will be published by Peeters Publishers, Leuven, in the Orientalia Lovaniensia Analecta (OLA) series. All those participants who have contributed a paper, brief communication or poster at the conference are invited to submit their papers for publication in the proceedings. All papers will be subject to an internal (Scientific Committee) and external (other international scholars working in the field) peer review.

Location

The conference will be hosted by the University of Vienna. The building at Währinger Strasse 29 (WS 29) houses the Faculty of Computer Science and the Department of Communication of the University of Vienna, Währinger Straße 29-31, 1090 (9th district). Lecture room is located at Hörssal 01.

 

Public Transport near the Venue

Tramlines 37, 38, 40, 41, 42 (stops "Sensengasse" and "Spitalgasse") run to with 2 to 4 minutes walking distance. The nearest U-Bahn is Schottentor U2 and Währinger Straße-Volksoper U6, about 11 minutes walking from the Conference Venue (slow gait). For calculating the best route from your hotel, use the official public transport website www.wienerlinien.at and enter "Währinger Straße 29-31, 1090 Wien" in the "address" field.
